spring terrarium :: kid project

looking for a fun and easy project to do with the kiddos?  a spring terrarium is the perfect mix of creativity, mess and enjoyment!   the boys chose a cute little deer (even though i wanted a bunny) and a birdhouse (to be painted at a future date) for our little plant home.  ferns work great for this type of thing as do succulents. i think "bump's" favorite part was putting the rocks in and each morning i find the deer in a different location. i am pretty sure they are hiding things in the house too.

i was thinking that this would be a great hostess gift too.  but, when i make one for a gift, i'll add a bunny.
