we took the boys and some friends riding a couple weeks ago and the rules were simple: wear a helmet and boots. the 6 and under crowd mostly wore animal-shaped bike helmets and rain boots, which made me utterly happy. there, in the smoldering heat, were young children in bright & silly attire, dancing in line because they couldn't wait to ride a fairy tale horse.
my fairy tale took on a whole different meaning. xoxo
