rain paintings :: acrylic on canvas

we got a lot of rain last week.  as i sat on my porch painting, i was feeling frustrated with the piece i was working on.   i love abstract art, but for some reason, when i try to create it, the piece ends up looking like a pre-schooler did it.  then i had an idea...

i threw my canvas right out in the rain.  well, i mean, i didn't throw it.  but, you get the jist.

i'm currently obsessing over the results.  aren't they wonderful?!  and of course, after adding a bit of glitter (which makes everything better) i feel that these abstract pieces most certainly have meaning.
