wood doll nativity toys :: diy

yesterday, i showed you a few things i've been working on. here is the diy for a wood doll nativity set that i made for my niece. adorable right?!

  1. i found the wood people at the hobby shop. they actually came with a larger "child", so i bought a bag of the smaller people separately.
  2. use acrylic paint to add color to the bodies of mary & joseph.
  3. using fabric scraps, hot glue mary's headpiece by folding over the top of her head. fold and glue fabric around the baby as a blanket
  4. a small piece of scrap wood can be used for the manger.
this is such a great way to teach little ones about the birth of jesus and the christmas story! or... make for just a simple mantel decor. xoxo
