doily love :: sewing :: fashion

i have a new obsession and it's called doilies. i even sprinkled a few about as decor for our wedding reception. last easter, i decorated the eggs with small doilies and i'm thinking of sewing a row of them together as a table runner!

last weekend, i decided i love doilies so much that wearing one would cool. what do you think? it was super simple to sew on and i think it's a bit bohemian perhaps? i like to imagine myself in an anthropologie catalog when i wear my new old shirt.

next up: a necklace made of doilies.

after that: layering them to make a flower pin or hair piece.

and then... o help me, i'm out of control.
