did you know that if you singe the edges of a silky fabric, the fabric won't fray and it will curl up a bit? i tried this technique on some fabric circles the other day and then layered them to create cute flower pins. i just quickly ran a lighter flame around the edge. so simple! you must give it a try. think of the things you could make... broaches, hair pieces, necklaces, etc. by the way, don't you think "broach" is the ugliest name for something so pretty?
i think broach has french origin. it sounds much nicer in french.
