"the monster" has discovered his love for painting. he's not crazy about painting actual pictures, but instead enjoys painting objects like his hot wheel cars, his bedroom desk, our bathroom sink, etc.

i found these fun little wooden shapes at the craft store the other day and had "hubby" drill a hole at the top of each.  then "the monster" and i painted each object...  we chose an outer space theme.  on the more plain shapes, like the stars, we glued some patterned paper on one side for interest.

after threading yarn thru the holes, we practiced tying knots as we attached each to an embroidery circle so that the objects hung down like a baby mobile.  then to give it a final cozy touch, i wrapped the circle with yarn.  cute & dreamy, don't you think?
