"the monster" has been practicing reading quite a bit this summer and sometimes that's difficult to do with a little brother around. i originally made him this little canopy for a quiet reading spot, but it has actually transformed into their new favorite place to eat lunch.
supplies:
- hula hoop
- shower curtain
- curtain hooks
- ribbon or cord
- pillows or round bench
the diy:
- tie 4 pieces of ribbon onto the hoop at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 so that it will hang level
- gather all 4 ribbon ends and tie one big knot. then hook knot onto tree branch
- now add the shower curtain using curtain hooks
- make cozy with a pillow or two
this little oasis literally took me 10 minutes. it's a simple and easy nook that kiddos can enjoy all summer! enjoy your weekend friends... xoxo
