it's supposed to be spring. i told my boys it's spring and that it's the perfect time of year to play at the park. but... spring is hardly showing up this year. and the boys have been amped to go to the park.

so we did, and as you can see, it was c.o.l.d, COLD. i did enjoy an empty playground however. it was fun to photograph.

garden loveliness :: nature photography

there's a beautiful park in town that is home to a rose garden, botanical garden, wildflower garden and more. i met a friend there for a walk the other day and, as always, my breath was taken away by the loveliness.

accomplishment & inspiration

during the holidays, i feel like all of my creative energy is spent on decorating, baking, & wrapping.  i barely took any photos this holiday season and in fact had to ask friends for their photos that were taken at parties so i would have something for memories. 

this afternoon, i was able to fit in some time in the studio while "the monster" was napping.  the results are above.  i had taken the photos at various times in the past, and just did some working with them today.  i am pleased with what came out and i plan to mount them on painted wood board for display.  i also have feelings of accomplishment and inspiration as i begin another year.
