glove monster :: diy

i don't know about you, but we seem to have a lot of single gloves in our closet that don't have their mate. i picked out the ones in the best shape and hand-sewed them into little monsters. cute right?!

these would be great for a baby... minus the button eyes. you could use felt instead... so just in case an eye became loose, baby wouldn't have any chocking hazards. also, my gloves had a ribbed texture around the wrist, which i thought made for some funny hair (use your imagination please). another option would be to sew some yarn sticking out.

another thought would be to fill with potpourri instead of cotton stuffing. what a funny little gift this would be to give your hubby for his stinky sock drawer!

now that i have your thoughts going... how would you use an odd glove?

valentine packages :: gift idea

this valentine's day, how about surprising some friends with a cute package of thoughtfulness?!

of all the things you can glitter what's better than wine?!  and the glass set addition make a perfect hostess gift for the holidays.

warning:  wash very delicately.  the glitter should stick.  do not put in dishwasher.

and another warning:  once drinking out of these, you will be fully glittered from head-to-toe.  i promise.

lovely lace bracelets :: diy

here's a little inspirational diy for your thursday!  this lace bracelet is so delicate it is the perfect gift for the girlie girl on your holiday list.  using lace, jump rings and a few pretty clasps, i created some of these lovelies for the shop.  so!  if you're schedule is filling up with parties and holiday activities with no time to craft, come on in for a visit and get one!

an ornament for an artist :: diy

here's an easy diy that you don't have to be an artist to create... but every artist i know loves them!  simply splatter some acrylic paint into a clear ornament and let drip.  or put the cap on and shake - making the paint cover more surface area.  if you use multiple colors, shaking blends them well too.

the results are unpredictable which i love.

2013 calendar :: nature photography :: graphic design

although it's barely autumn and i haven't had nearly enough pumpkin spice latte's yet, it's still time to begin preparing for holiday sales.  and that means designing the 2013 cp :: photography calendar.  because you are my favorite and because you are so loyal, i am giving you the first look at the full 12 months!

the calendar will be sent to the printer today and on sale in the etsy shop & urban sass sometime next week!
