paint your jewelry :: diy

instead of stamping words or designs onto jewelry tags, i thought i would try painting them.   i love the way they turned out!  very tribal.  here's the diy:

1. find plain, flat charms at any jewelry supply shop
2. using tape, create your design
3. paint with acrylic or martha stewart all purpose craft paint
4. after drying, remove tape
5. seal with matte or gloss modge podge (i used matte)
6. attach to chain or earrings for your handmade design

i was too impatient and pealed off the tape before the paint was completely dry.  this lead to some of the paint peeling off along with it, but i actually like the more imperfect look.
