art in the garden :: gallery show :: silent auction

each spring, my favorite art event takes place at lincoln memorial garden.  "art in the garden" showcases the talents of local artists thru-out the day with an en plein air event.  this means that very creative people will be stationed out and about the garden while creating artwork right in front of your eyes.  it's incredible to watch this process and talk with them as the day goes on.  not to mention the beautiful nature you will see along the way!  as the evening nears, a reception is held and the art is auctioned off.  there is a silent auction (for pre-made art) and a live auction (for art created that day at the garden).  wine and food is served and it's really a grand time!

i donated four pieces this year for the silent auction...  a set of three "summer sky" prints and a larger original mosaic-of-sorts.  tonight is the opening reception at the local art association, but the actual "art in the garden" event takes place on april 30th.  if you are local or traveling thru at that time you should definitely stop by.  like i mentioned before... it'll be grand.
